What makes Bluerock Care different?
We provide care where you need it: in our office, through video chats, or in your home when needed. We also provide 24/7 access to your primary care team when urgent needs arise. We focus on older and disabled patients who may have complex health needs that are best addressed by caring for the whole person. Our approach is focused on doing more than treating an illness or disease. We work with you to enhance your quality of life at any age.
What insurance do you take?
Medicare: We accept all Medicare plans, with the exception of Kaiser Permanente.
Medicaid: We accept seniors (60+) on DC Medicaid, including CareFirst Community Health Plan, Amerihealth and MedStar. We also accept MD Medicaid.
Other: We accept most United Healthcare, CareFirst (Blue Cross Blue Shield), Aetna, and Cigna plans (60+ adults).
How do your remote devices work?
Our free devices help you track your chronic conditions, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, or heart failure. When you check your blood pressure or blood glucose, we can see it right there with you, without your needing to keep a log or waiting for your next appointment.
Do you conduct lab work in your office?
Absolutely. We draw labs and collect urine samples in our office so that you don't need to make an extra stop. You can also go to a LabCorp site to have your blood drawn. When necessary, we also draw labs in your home.
What hospitals are you affiliated with?
We work closely with The George Washington University Hospital. That is not an exclusive relationship. We work with all hospitals in the region, and your preference is key.
Do you have a referral network of specialists?
Our team has training in Internal Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Lifestyle Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and Infectious Diseases. We coordinate specialty referrals through our network of excellent physician specialists, which includes all local hospital systems. If you're already working with specific specialists, we are very happy to work directly with them.
